Me and my better half are taking a trip to Universal Studios September 30th – October 4th. We have never stayed at an on-site Hotel and also never been to Halloween Horror Nights so any insight would be grateful.
I understand that it costs an extra $ 50-$ 75 to even get in to HHN, so one question is do on-site hotel guests get a discount?
I understand that you can use your room key as an Express Pass so does this also work for HHN?
Would you recommend the Meal Deal Ticket and is it accepted for HHN or just normal park hours?
Feel free to leave any other tips and recommendations you might have!
Thx
By the way… Money isnt that big of an issue. I have always stayed at a cheap hotel before when I came to Orlando, Id really like to get the full experence this time though…
discount hotel rooms in orlando.
paul b:if saving money is your ultimate goal then i would not recommend staying at an on site hotel, just find the cheapest hotel you can on international drive, its only a couple blocks from universal and most hotels there have a shuttle service.
sikchick:Well first- cause it’s the most awesome hotel in Orlando. I love that place.
I don’t think it works at HHN. When I stayed at Hard Rock one year for HHN we had to buy a separate express pass for the event. Not to worry it’s only about $ 27; however, you may only use it once for every attraction. But I’m telling you, it’s totally worth it! I did the entire HHN in 2 hours I think. Then you get to enjoy it, and if you feel like doing a haunted house or ride again you won’t mind the wait because you at least already got to do it.
Hard Rock guests get to enter the park and hour before it opens, and they get to use the fast pass throughout the regular park hours.
The Meal Deal is helpful if you plan on eating a lot and spending the entire day in the park. If you’re only gonna eat once in the park then forget it. It only works at certain places in the park, so keep that in mind as well- of course find out where and decide if it’s right for you, if you haven’t already.
If you can help it- I don’t know what days those dates fall on this year, the best nights to go (and cheaper nights) for HHN is Thurs and Sun nights. Less crowded and lower prices. Most likely the high school kids won’t be there or at least lower numbers of them- they are the most annoying people there.
