Which Nikon lenses do you get the most bang for your buck?

Okay i just got the Nikon D7000 with 18-105 lens. I have a 55-300 which has stopped functioning and a extremely old 18-55. I am just searching for a very good stroll around lens beneath 500$ , preferably one particular that zooms far more than 55mm

I have a Nikon d7000 and I’ve been wanting to do a lot of shut ups but I don’t have the appropriate lenses for them.. my main lens is a 18-105 mm.. what size is greatest for shut up shots? Thanks in advance.
