How much does it cost to attend mtsu?

Hello everyone I recently received the lottery scholarship for $ 5500 a year and I was wondering how much Middle Tennessee State University charges for four years of tuition while living in a dorm from in-state. I have looked on several sites and they are confusing me with tuition costs, because they do not specify whether it is solely for a year or if that is total cost for four years. Here are the two sites I have been looking at.

Also I was wondering if anyone knows whether the lottery scholarship helps to pay anything other than tuition.

(Official site though still confused me)

Please help me clarify this it’s driving me nuts and sorry if I overlooked a key word something on the sites.

Thank you for any help you give me and have a nice day!

The official site is the one you need to use. It states that those are the per semester fees, so twice that gives you a year of schooling. These are the current school year fees, so expect them to increase for next year.

As for what the scholarship covers, contact the financial aid office at MTSU – they are the best source to get a good answer for that question!!

I live in Tennessee, did not graduate from a TN high school, and I am 22 years old. None of TN’s lottery scholarships apply to me. I’ve attempted fastweb.com ‘s scholarship search and come up with practically nothing (literally 7 scholarship opportunities which I DID apply for). Does anybody know of any good reputable scholarship sources?

> My school’s given me the big orange finger from the financial aid department. their suggestion was “try to figure out how much school is going to cost and then try to save that much money”

> I have a full time job and maxed out my stafford loans

>My parents are unwilling to assist with college expenses
1. Yes, I have filed my fafsa, however because I’m technically (in the eyes of the DOE) a dependent student all they offered was unsub loans.

2. I filed the school’s scholarship application form, but was not awarded anything because I changed from arts and sciences (undecided) to college of engineering.

3. I’m doing great in school I have a 4.0

Have you filled out a FAFSA? If not, then get on that definitely. Look for local scholarships and scholarships that only apply to your school. Look into other loan opportunities. How well have you been doing in school? A lot of schools offer scholarships for academics and the department you are in.

Otherwise, you might have to go to a community college for a year and save up. Since you went to an out of state school, with no background funding, and it doesn’t seem like you tried to get scholarships or fin aid your first year if you have already maxed out your loans, then yes, it will be a lot more difficult for you to get funding.

Have you try to apply to less competitive scholarship? Some friends of mine in college told me that they have valuable information regarding scholarships from this place.
Good luck
